Greetings! We have been approached by a journalist to investigate if there is an increased need for Peer Support Facilities for trauma treating careers.
Do you think there is still a requirement for Peer Support Facilities to address PTSD?
Do you think public safety personnel and people in other trauma-facing jobs (ie. Military, RCMP, First Responders, ER staff, Corrections; to name a few) feel supported in their time of need?
We will continue our efforts for as long as we can🥰 ...

This entry is long overdue. I met Bob and Jo last summer, and after chatting with them several times, and trying to get down and not being able to due to my anxiety, etc., I was finally able to make it during the summer. I was completely lost at the time, and struggled to get off of my couch most days.
I recall the first time I traveled down to Sable River, and the fact that I almost turned around several times on the way. I'm so glad that I didn't, however, as I found a little piece of heaven in my messed-up world.
I was welcomed with open arms, and treated with love and kindness. Since that first visit, I have made many more, and think of Bob and Jo as family. I have made several friends along the way, learned a LOT about myself, and instead of sitting on my couch everyday waiting for the day to end, I have found a new purpose in life.
Thank you both for what you do. Your selfless actions and the fact that you have opened your home to me, and others, have definitely made an immeasurable impact on my life.
If you are on the fence as to whether this magical place can be of help to you, I am here to tell you that it can, and will! Make the trip and see for yourself. You won't regret it.
