How did everyone fare through the heat wave? Thelma is old and a little asthmatic. Yesterday she was in crisis from the heat so she had a cool bath and spent the afternoon in the mudroom.That short break brought her back to her normal perkiness. Everyone needs a break now and then to catch their breath.
It's a scorcher! Harvested a few things earlier this morning. A few strawberries and some precious garlic scapes. Added a few of those to the pickled veggies that will preserve and dress a few stragglers from the crisper.Yummy!
