3 weeks agoFrom a spouse perspective, things I have learned about PTSD....out of a gazillion more.....1. It doesn't care about your gender, age, religion, income, lifestyle or profession.2. It doesn't go away. It can be managed, but qualified help is needed.3. It will create illness/pain in the most creative ways.4. The moment your exhausted body crawls in bed, your PTSD brain says, "Party time!"5. PTSD is not an excuse for bad manners. 6. All days are good....just some days are less good than others.7. Your loved one is just as frustrated as you are. They are not enjoying the ride either.8. Take a breath, you are usually not the reason for the latest mood swing. Sherlock Holmes could take lessons from us on sleuthing out the initial whistle for that freight train of emotion.9.
